In accordance with proclamation No. 1365, declaring the third week of September of every year as Chemical Engineering Week, the Philippine Institute of Chemical Engineers (PIChE) will launch a nationwide celebration on September 13-20, 2008. The activity aims to promote greater public awareness on the Chemical Engineers’ role in the country’s industrial growth.
Local chapters in Baguio, Bataan, Cavite, Manila, Batangas, Legaspi, Cebu, Bacolod, Iloilo, Tacloban, Iligan, Cagayan de Oro, General Santos and Davao will simultaneously open with a motorcade on September 13. The theme of this year’s event is “Chemical Engineers: Trailblazers of Progress”.
