I bought my e-tickets for my recent trip to Manila through Cebu Pacific‘s online ticketing system.
As I have mentioned in a previous entry, I have been practicing extra care now when availing certain services. Before I purchased my tickets, I checked the sites of both Cebu Pacific and Philippine Airlines. Comparing their prices on similar flight schedules, Cebu Pacific still offered cheaper rates even if I was not able to avail of the Piso fares since my trip is only a few days away. It really is true that you can save a lot of money when you purchase way ahead of time.
I also checked other blogs about comments on Cebu Pacific’s online booking. I was surprised to learn that many have had unpleasant experiences with it while I have nothing (or almost nothing) against their system. The transaction (booking a flight) was done within minutes without me leaving the house. Great, is it not?
I even had to modify my booking details since my hubby changed his mind and wanted me to go to Manila on an earlier date. I incurred additional fees due to rebooking, but I totally understand the added PhP 500 or so per flight. Of course, if people are allowed to change schedules without service charges, then their system could go haywire with all the change requests. Many people would not take extra thought when booking a flight knowing that they can alter the schedules anytime they please without penalties.
We just need to understand the entire concept of budget flights so we can avoid disappointments. I guess the reason why many have been upset with Cebu Pacific’s online system is that they demanded too much. Remember that one of the basic rules to stay happy is to expect little. 😉
what are cebu pacifics important notice on credit card/internet booking transactions? i used my brothers credit crd to avail the online promo….but my brother is not traveling with us….what documents or papers should i bring during our flight?
I think you need a photocopy of the front side of your brother’s credit card. The confirmation email contains other important things to remember, so make sure you read it well. Have a nice trip!

SELECTED MY FLIGHTS,TICKED THE RULES,NO PLACE TO GO FORWARD AND BOOK.THEN TRIED TO BECOME A CUSTOMER LOG IN COULD NOT GET A PASSWORD ACCEPTED,THEY SENT ME A NEW PASSWORD,DONE THAT,AND HAD TO SIGN ON,THAT PASSWORD WAS NOT ACCEPTED,THEY WANTED ME TO CREATE A NEW PASSWORD WHICH I DID,KEPT GOING BACK TO WHERE I STARTED,A NEW PASSWORD WAS SENT TO MY MAIL BOX AGAIN COULD NOT LOG IN,AGAIN CREATED A NEW PASSWORD OF MORE THAN 6 DIGITS AS REQUETED.BACK TO SQUARE ONE.i CANNOT UNDERSTAND HOW A BIG COMPANY LIKE C/B,EMPLOY SUCH A LOAD OF MORONS WHO CANNOT CONSTRUCT A WORKABLE WEBSITE,PEOPLE I KNOW ARE REALY PISSED OF WITH THEM,F——CKING JOKE,AIR ASIA NOT FAR BEHIND THEM,TRADING STANDARDS ARE UNHEARD OF WITH THEM,WHAT EVER THEY ADVERTISE DOUBLE IT,OH WELL ANYBODY KNOW ANY GOOD SHIPPING LINES.
