Davao City will host the First National Vegetables Marketing Summit on April 22 to 23. The event aims to gather around 500 vegetable farmers, producers and buyers from the different regions.
One of the important issues to be discussed in the summit is organic farming. The shift from conventional methods to organic farming will help the country position itself as a main vegetable supplier in the global market. Other concerns such as the uneven distribution of vegetable supply and unstable prices will also be addressed.
