Davao, let’s turn off our lights from 8:30 PM to 9:30 PM on March 28, Saturday!
This 1 hour of darkness will serve as our vote to Mother Earth. Keeping our lights on will mean we vote for global warming and continuous environmental degradation.
Philippines ranked 9th in the most number of Earth Hour participants last year. This year, the country hopes to encourage more Filipinos to join the cause through more intensified media promotion.
Baguio, Cebu, Davao and Manila are the four key cities in the Philippines identified as partners of this worldwide event.
Thanks for promoting Earth Hour. The new Vote Earth 2009 global website has launched. There is an element on the site that incorporates Google’s Friend Connect and we want to get 1 billion people on the site by November 2009, just before Copenhagen.
To get involved, all you need to do is:
1. Go to the site – http://www.voteearth2009.org
2. Register with Friend Connect
3. Send to a friend and get more people to sign up.
It would be great if you could help getting more people involved – your friends, collegues and even clients. Thanks for your help.
Get involved and VOTE EARTH!
Sure, I’ll work on getting more of my friends involved. By the way, thanks for dropping by. 😉
