UnmisCAKEable By Jaja: Pastries With Catchy Names and Classic Appeal

Pastries and desserts are slowly picking up steam and tickling the tastebuds of Dabawenyos. A number of locals have even set up their own home businesses making cakes and pastries. One up-and-coming pastry shop is UnmisCAKEable by Jaja.

Jaja’s specialty is an array of cupcakes with catchy names. Dark Decadence is a super moist dark chocolate cake topped with chocolate ganache and drizzled with caramel. White Temptation is a yellow cake filled with strawberry jam and topped with white chocolate ganache.

Cupcakes cost P25 a piece (6 pcs minimum). These flavors are also sold as cakes, costing P350 (for the 7″ round) and P650 (for the 9″ round).

UnmisCAKEable also offers Classic Apple Pie, which has fresh apples flavored with cinnamon and cloves wrapped in a perfect, flaky pie crust. (P30 each; 6 pcs minimum)

Meanwhile, lovers of cassava cake will go gaga over Cassava Royale, an ultra-moist cassava cake topped with caramel and cheese. (P110)
