Philippine modern rock icon Bamboo is heading to Davao! More than a year after he visited the city for a concert with fellow rocker Yeng Constantino, Bamboo is returning for a one-night concert at the SMX Convention Center on September 13, 2015 at 8:00 PM.
As one of the coaches in “The Voice”, Bamboo has promoted his signature style of modern soul rock music through his trainees. That same soulful vibe is expected to hit Davao City and send his fans and followers into a frenzy. Prepare to listen to his greatest hits during the upcoming concert. I have been a fan of Bamboo since his early shot to stardom with Rivermaya, and at the height of fame of his eponymous band. Some of my favorite songs from Bamboo include those from Rivermaya (“214”, “Awit ng Kabataan”) and his band Bamboo (“Noypi”, “Probinsyana”).
“Bamboo Rocks Davao” also features “The Voice” alum Morissette Amon, whose powerful vocals will complement Bamboo’s more relaxed singing style.
