F. Torres Street in Davao City is known for crazy late-night parties. While this party strip has had its share of brawls and gang fights, it has nevertheless maintained its reputation of being a great location for restaurants and unique food offerings.
Coco’s South Bistro sits at the center of the Torres food strip, and continues to cater to families and groups of friends. My officemates and I recently dropped by Coco’s to enjoy a much-needed heavy dinner. When we arrived at the place, we were greeted with tables that can sit six people, and a huge LCD television running cable TV.
Their dishes are usually in huge portions that can fill up the stomachs of two to three persons. Of course, you can always consume one serving on your own, if you’re really hungry! Their surefire winners are Coco’s Baby Back Ribs, Bistro Chicken (grilled chicken with bacon bits and melted cheese), and Blackened Fish Fillet.
You definitely have to try Coco’s pizzas. I loved the texture of their pizza crust: light, airy, crispy, and with the perfect thickness to complement the toppings. The crust tastes and feels like European bread, which I absolutely love.
Coco’s South Bistro enters my personal list of favorite restaurants to revisit, especially with family or friends. 🙂

We loved it here! The food was delicious yet very affordable. I just hope Manila has restaurants like these — masarap pero tama lang ang price.
